Before i prepare the plants for shipping, the soil is sterilised to prevent mold or harmful pests to develop. The plants themselves are treated out of prevention with a non toxic pesticide so i can guarantee that there are no harmful pest infestations on the plants. 

To prepare them for transport I wrap the pots in transparent foil as close to the stem. So most of the moisture cant evaporate from the plant. After that i wrap it in bubble wrap. Its almost a closed terrarium idea, with a bit of a ecosystem going on. And when plants dont receive any light they also dont use a lot of water. I always ship them with the expectation that there is a chance they are in transport for 4 weeks. Thats why i use so many materials out of precaution.

In conclusion i do everything in my control to make sure the plants have a realistic survival chance until delivery takes place.
